Appel aux photographes pour une lecture de portfolio

La plateforme Corpus | Corpus lance un appel aux photographes pour une lecture de portfolio. L'initiative, lancée à l'occasion de la Journée internationale de la photographie, vise à soutenir les artistes émergent.e.s. Le/la gagnant.e de l'appel se verra proposer une lecture de portfolio de 40 minutes avec Philip Litzler – rédacteur en chef du magazine photo OPEN EYE. La participation est gratuite !!!

Conditions de participation

1. Suivez le compte Instagram CORPUS_CORPUS_expos

2. Les candidatures doivent répondre au thème de l'appel, qui est Body Matters. 

3. L'appel est ouvert à tous les styles et genres photographiques (argentique, numérique, collage, etc.)

4. Il n'y a aucune restriction d'âge

5. Chaque candidature doit comprendre une série de 8 à 15 images maximum.

6. Envoyez votre candidature au plus tard le 31 Août 2024 à 18h00 à expo.corpus.corpus@gmail.com.

7. Envoyez un seul fichier PDF comprenant une bio (maximum demi-page), une présentation de la série et une sélection d'images (minimum 8 maximum 15). Nommez le fichier comme suit nom_nom_nomduprojet,

8. Les candidatures qui ne respectent pas les conditions mentionnées ci-dessus ne seront pas considérées..

9. Le/la gagnant.e sera annoncé.e dans la première quinzaine de Septembre 2024. La lecture de portfolio se tiendra dans la première quinzaine d'octobre via Zoom en français. (une traduction en  l'anglais sera proposée si nécessaire).

10. Une sélection de nos coups de cœur sera publiée sur notre compte Instagram Corpus_Corpus_expos.

 

Qui sommes-nous?

CORPUS CORPUS est une plateforme de photographie, créée par des photographes pour des photographes. La plateforme a été lancée en 2023 avec le but de donner de la visibilité aux photographes émergents à travers l'organisation d'expositions, de lectures de portfolio et d'autres activités artistiques. Elle est fondée par deux artistes plasticiens – Elisa La Gala et Said Hammouch – dont la démarche s'articule autour du thème du corps.

Conscients des difficultés rencontrées par les photographes pour avoir de la visibilité dans le secteur photo actuel, les fondateurs ont décidé de mettre leur expérience au profit d'autres photographes émergent.e.s.

La première activité de la plateforme CORPUS CORPUS a été l'organisation d'une exposition collectiveavec la participation de photographes internationaux dans le cadre de la 8ème édition du Photo Brussels Festival. Le succès de l’ exposition encourage les fondateurs à poursuivre sur cette voie et à proposer de nouvelles initiatives pour soutenir d'autres photographes.

Call for a portfolio review

Corpus | Corpus platform invites photographers to participate to a call for a portfolio review. The initiative, launched ahead of the International Day of Photography, aims to support emerging artists. The winner of the call will be offered 40 minutes portfolio review with Philip Litzler – Chef Editor of the photo magazine OPEN EYE.  

Submission is free of charge!!!
 

Conditions of participation

1. Follow the Instagram account CORPUS_CORPUS_expos

2. Applications must respond to the theme of the application, which is BODY MATTERS. 

3. The call is open to all photographic styles and genres (analogue, digital, collage, etc.)

4. There are no age restrictions

5. Each submission must be part of a series including from 8 to 15 images maximum.

6. Send your application no later than 31 August 2024 at 18:00 to corpus_corpus_expos@gmail.com.

7. Send a single PDF file including a bio (max half page), a presentation of the series and a selection of images (minimum 8 maximum 15). Name the file as follows surname_name_nameoftheproject,

8. All applications that do not follow the above conditions will not be taken into consideration.

9. The winner will be announced in the first half of September. The portfolio review will be organised by first half of October via zoom in French (live translation to English will be offered if needed) .

10. A selection of our coup de Coeur will be published on our Instagram account Corpus_Corpus_expos.

 

Who are we?
CORPUS CORPUS is a platform of photographers for photographers. The platform was started in 2023 with the aim of giving visibility to emerging photographers through the organisation of exhibitions and portfolio reviews and other artistic activities. It is founded by two visual artists – Elisa La Gala and Said Hammouch – whose artistic focuses on the theme of the body, conceived in its broadest form.
Aware of the struggles photographers face to have visibility in the current photo business, the founders have decided to offer their experience to the benefit of other emerging photographers.
The first activity of the CORPUS CORPUS platform was the organisation of a collective exhibition featuring international photographers in the framework of the 8th Edition of the Photo Brussels Festival. The success of such an exhibition encouraged the founders to continue along this trajectory and come up with new initiatives to support other photographers.
